FAQ Answer Section |
| Q1 |
WHAT IS AN ELECTIVE
PRENATAL ULTRASOUND? |
| A1 |
We offer elective 2D, 3D & 4D ultrasounds to provide
a positive bonding experience with mother, father and family members
with the unborn baby. This ultrasound is NOT diagnostic and does not
assess for any fetal anomalies. Our ultrasounds provide you with optimal
viewing time of your child in the womb. |

| Q2 |
DOES THIS TAKE
THE PLACE OF AN ULTRASOUND ORDERED BY MY DOCTOR? |
| A2 |
NO! Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound
with Simply Sono MUST be receiving prenatal care from a healthcare
provider and have already undergone a medical, diagnostic ultrasound
ordered by their provider. A routine diagnostic ultrasound is typically
ordered around 20-24 weeks to confirm dating, screen for anomalies,
and to assess for any pregnancy related issues. Our ultrasounds are
able to confirm a heartbeat, the number of babies in the pregnancy,
the position of the baby, and placenta location. Please download our
ultrasound authorization form here
and have it completed by your doctor's office. |

| Q3
|
IS IT SAFE? ARE
THERE MANY RISKS TO ME, OR MY BABY? |
| A3 |
There have been many studies conducted over the
last 30 years. There has been no evidence of ultrasound causing harm
to mother or baby. |
| |
| |
| Q4 |
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
|
| A4 |
Yes, appointments are necessary for all of
our services. |
| |
| |
| Q5 |
HOW FAR ALONG SHOULD I BE
IN ORDER TO GET THE BEST PICTURES? |
| A5 |
We recommend having one of our ultrasounds between
22 - 35 weeks gestational age. |
| |
| |
| Q6 |
WILL I ALWAYS GET A BEAUTIFUL
IMAGE OF MY BABY? |
| A6 |
Usually, but not always. Fetal position can sometimes
limit the view of your baby's face and/or gender. We know this experience
is important to you and we promise to make every effort to get the
best pictures possible. |
| |
| |
| Q7 |
CAN I BRING MY FAMILY &
FRIENDS? |
| A7 |
Absolutely! We encourage you to invite your family
and friends. Children are also welcome! |
| |
| |
| Q8 |
IS THIS COVERED BY MY INSURANCE? |
| A8 |
No. This is an elective service and will not provide
any diagnostic information. We accept cash, Visa or Mastercard, and
debit cards. |
| |
